Mission of Through A Child's Eyes (TACE)

The mission statement of "Through A Child's Eyes" is to empower individuals and trheir families whose socio-economic status or developmental issues have resulted in barriers for their advancement toward independence.

Services Provided To Children At Risk

"Through A Childs's Eyes" provides a Pre-Kindergarten program to children who are considered "At Risk" of academic failure. This Pre-Kindergarten program, Foundations for Early Learning, provides a safe haven of instruction for the children and a source of family education for their parents in Cicero, Illinois.

In the past "Through A Child's Eyes" had provided group therapy sessions to children who had been determined as developmentally delayed. The group therapy program sessions, depending upon the child's needs, could have included Occupational therapy, Physical therapy, Speech Therapy, and/or Developmental therapy.

Services Provided To Adults At Risk

TACE provides case management services to prevent the unnecessary institutionalization of disabled individuals who have suffered a brain injury. The brain injury program provides case management servicies, supports and assistance to the individuals who have suffered a brain injury so that they can continue to live in the community.

The involvement of TACE with individuals "At Risk" is based on the premise that regardless of disabilities or capabilities, all persons have the right and responsibility to determine the direction of their own lives and to fully and meaningfully participate as members of society.


Through A Child's Eyes was incorporated as a Not for Profit Corporation on 12-29-1999.
